Dawn Kin

Graduate of Alden, Central high School, Alden, N.Y. Lettered in Cheerleading and Rifle, Three year President of rifle club, placed first in rifle team competition, fourth in individual overall competition in the Eric County Interscholastic Conference Rifle Championships and second-place team in New York state rifle championships. Received the Alden Rod and Gun Club award for high senior average on Alden high School Rifle Team. Earned the Matthew J. Staff memorial Scholarship in Shooting and Academics from the New York Rifle and Pistol Association. North Eastern States 3 Position Rifle Champion and recipient of Olympic Shooting Camp Scholarship Award. 1993-94 Empire State Games scholastic team air rifle Gold Medalist. Placed 5th overall in NYSPHSAA State Rifle Championships. Empire State Games Silver Medal in Smallbore Rifle and Gold Medal in Air Rifle 1996. Academic Recognition includes National Honor Society, four-year scholar- athlete, four-year academic letter, Senior Class Vice President, Top 20 Academic Senior Award, OSU Women in Engineering Camp Scholarship, National Buckeye Scholar and Alden Lion's Club Scholarship for Leadership and Academic Success. OSU Rifle Team Awards have included Most Valuable Player both freshman and sophomore year. Freshman High Aggregate scorer. High Air Rifle and Second in Smallbore Rifle as a sophomore. Dawn was winner of the first Annual Booster Club and Alumni Match and finished second by one point in the second annual Booster Club and Alumni Match.
